Furniture Donations
Homestretch accepts gently used furniture needed to furnish an apartment for a Homestretch family. If the family graduates from the Homestretch Transitional Housing program they take the furniture to their new home.
Furniture is picked up from a donor’s home and all donations are tax deductible. Please note that it takes two weeks to schedule a pick up. The donor is provided a tax receipt. Homestretch cannot provide a donor with a value for their donation.
Donated items MUST be in good condition and CLEAN. Homestretch has the right to decline items if we determine that they are not clean or in good condition. Homestretch asks donors to send photos of the items they wish to donate to info@homestretchva.org. Photos provide us the opportunity to determine if the items will work in our units and if we have the space to keep the items until they are needed. Please note that furniture is accepted on an as-needed basis.
